The Kamikaze Queens, a female fronted rock 'n' roll band, have made Berlin their home despite their colorful past and have been working on producing their second album there in recent months. Titled "Automatic Life," the album tells stories of nightlife, both the good and bad, and the desire for living life to the fullest. With their wild mix of punk rock, garage, swing, and burlesque, their goal is simple: to kick, scream, and rock out of this world.

In 49 minutes of playing time, "Automatic Life" showcases the stylistic range of the Kamikaze Queens. From energetic tracks like "Southern Stomp" to the gloomy and mysterious allure of "Night Life," the album takes listeners on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. The album delves into darker and more manic themes with tracks like "Sweet Geraldine" and "I Was a Teenage Mermaid," telling the story of a mermaid named Geraldine who ventures ashore to satisfy her curiosity and rebellion, only to find herself in a chaotic world of punks and freaks. On the other hand, "Do The Crab" catapults listeners into the absurd world of John Waters, with guitarist Tex Morton contributing both music and lyrics.
